Chapter 19: It Ain't Easy
Ugh. What a rough few days.
I haven't been around for a few days simply because I was tired of Blogspot. Clearly, that is no longer the case...
Yesterday was Mom's birthday. The planned venue for the party changed a few times since Great-Grandpa got sick and didn't want to leave. So we had it at Aunt Lori's when it was decided he needed rest. It's been the first family gathering we've had there in a while, and man is it weird. It's all babied-up, and indeed much of the party was spent playing with babies or (good lord,) watching the kid's DVD's. It was surreal.
I did a lot of talking to Aunt Lori about the play, which she really seemed to love (she even went so far as to ask whether or not Alyssa was Ukranian, so good job Alyssa,) and indulge me in my favourite past-time - talking about myself. Haha, it's pretty shallow, but I'd think it's obvious by this blog.
For the second week in a row we went to a high-end grocer, only further enhancing the inevitable crash once we start going back to Price Chopper's. From this, we got some crab legs, which we had for tonight. Yes, we eat like the good life. And for cheap.
Fech. I'm worn out. It's been a nice enough day, and tomorrow is my delayed exam... but I just feel drained.
But hey. For all youse guys out there, why don't ya, just for me, keep on rockin',
-Scotto
