1.1: Dare You To (Reluctance)

I just thought I'd pop in and say what a crappy weekend it's been. Weather-wise, at least. What happened to Spring, man?

It's not been a great weekend. Friday kicked it off, I've already explained; and the weather. And yesterday, Mom ran over my foot. You should've heard the cry of shock, horror and pain I gave out when that happened - it was inhuman!

But today was actually fun, the weather notwithstanding. We had a huge, albeit somewhat pointless, family gathering. It was pointless in that the purpose of it was even sketchier than the infamous annual "Fake Christmas." Uncle Dave and Aunt Sharman jsut wanted to get all the family together because they're worried about Grandpa. And their worry is unnecessary, because the doctor says he's got a very stong heart, apparently. The guy's 100. He's lived a damn good, long, fruitful life. Why fret now, I say. But we did get to see a literal plethora of babies. Everyone's got one. See, the generation gap on that side of the family is immense, because my Grandma, who is the eldest of Grandpa's children, finished having children by the time her brother Bob started, and Bob's kids are pretty much older than David's, so it's like a cascade, and David's kids are all only a little older than me and my cousins. Then there's Bob's grandkids who are a couple of girls about 6-10 (I dunno.) And now Sharman and Dave have baby grandkids, and meanwhile my aunts have their babies, so at least this generation is consistent.

Tons of babies, man.

Know what else I have tons of? Homework, so I've gotta get on that. Keep on Rockin'
