A1: The castle lights are growing dim

I didn't anticipate how difficult this weekend would be.

That seems kinda silly. We've been here before; me, stuck in Oakville while the better part of my friends (that is to say, the bulk of them, not necessarily the "better" ones,) run off to university in their respective towns. I suppose I had just grown so accustomed, over the past 4 months, to having everyone around, that I forgot that eventually it'd go back to normal. But hey, life goes on, I suppose. It ain't always easy, but that's life.

Meanwhile, and maybe some of my fellow Sheridan kids will agree with me on this (you're out there,) I'm not digging this whole "we start one week later" deal, mostly for the reason listed above. While life is moving forward as scheduled for my contemporaries, I'm stuck another week in purgatory, forced to deal with my childish lonely bullshit. If there's one thing I've proven, it's that I can't let my mind go unoccupied. It's too strong, and is bound to end up badly.

However, all the sadness of this week can be absorbed by my at-long-lsat obtaining of Arrested Development Volume 3 on DVD this past week. It was kind of a weird story. I was looking high and low for a pencil sharpener. I've been supposedly working on a comic since May, (lord, it didn't used to take me this long) and I couldn't continue (or restart, whatever,) until I got my pencil sharpened. However, as usual, the sharpener disappeared on me, so Eric and I went to the drug store to get a new one. Then we made our way down to Blockbuster to see if they had anything. They didn't, and they were selling Arrested Development for $26.99 or something. So Eric and I, inspired and in search of a better deal, went all the way down to HMV at the mall and lo and behold, it was a mere $21.99. Badda-bing badda-boom, new DVD.

I've gotta get up early tomorrow - mom's off for the weekend, and I've got to let Max out early tomorrow morning - so I'm heading off now. More substance tomorrow night.

I just hope this weekend doesn't slip away. For many people, this is it.

For me, it's just... sigh... another weekend.

Keep on rockin'
-Scotts
