E: Don't tell me I'm replaced
It's been a weird night, and a while back I thought I really needed to make a blog entry. And then I was frustrated because I couldn't get onto blogspot. And now I can and honestly... nothin'.
Today we gave Dad his birthday gift - the Very Best of Grateful Dead. I have to say, I was never much of a Deadhead, but the tracks I heard were actually very good. If I still had a download program I'd get a bunch of their tracks. As it is, I won't, but I'll be humming "Truckin'" for weeks to come.
I'm becoming more of a nighttime guy lately, I think. Maybe it's the late nights working, but I'd rather stay up. The problem is, my rationale is that I need something good on TV to go to sleep (usually,) and the last stop on that front is at like, 1, so I can't stay up too late. Plus, I have class tomorrow at 8, so I'm gonna have to get up early. I just wish I could stay up all night writing, though.
I did do a little writing, however. I hit a wall many months ago in my script for Work in Progress... I know how it's supposed to work out I just couldn't work past this one scene, and now it's done. It's not as meaty as I'd initially invisioned it, but that's what second drafts are for. I don't even know when I'd show this.
For weeks, I'd been pissed at my Mac because I believed it was incapable of printing on the school's network printers. And I found out yesterday that I was just doing it wrong. Go fig. I was humbled.
I'm feeling different now that the climate is changing. Smell is the scent most closely tied to memory, and lately everything smells kinda like... yes... New York. I know, get oer it, but seriously, it's weird. Probably because that was in the thick of spring and now we're in the thick of autumn and they've kind of got the same atmosphere.
Ugh... I have a ton of reading I've got to do. I don't wanna read, man. I wanna go back and do more writing. Except knowing my balls will be effectively busted in an authenitcally Australian manner if I don't get the reading done hampers my ability to focus on anything else... I guess I'd better get to it.
You all do your best and keep on rockin'
