6:00 AM: It can happen anywhere

I haven't been around in a while. While I've been experiencing a creative explosion in seemingly every other medium in which I dabble, the blog appears to have suffered.

I'd say that's appropriate. My life has settled to a sedimentary bedrock of tedium. I haven't formed a valid opinion on anything or made any amusing observations in seemingly weeks. I have, quite simply, been going through a phase of blogging-block. It happens.

I mean, it's nothing to get too concerned about. Obviously I'd rather be able to keep everyone deeply abreast of my every move, but there's simply nothing to report. No strange dreams. No upsetting anecdotes. No romantic liasons. Just doing my job as a reporter, doing interviews, etc and whatnot. It's hard getting ahold of people sometimes. I had to get this one guy, an expert in light pollution at U of T's David Dunlop Observatory, but he was apparently, um, detoxing off some medication. That was amusing.

I mean, today was another boring day, more chilly weather, more nothing. At least I got to wear my jacket outside. Damn do I love wearing that thing.

As I said earlier, I've done a bit more writing, when possible. I mean, I was walking home the other day and I got some ideas, so I jotted 'em down. And I finished writing a story on which I got some really good feedback. And we've got the ball rolling on a few Redneck projects, including a long-dormant half-done comic I really oughtta get to finishing. So we've got the creative sphere around here and that's cool.

But anyhow... hmph. Despite all this I've got myself feeling like I'm in a rut. Then again, I've sorta been in one for like a year, year and a half maybe... or more. Shit, my life is dull. I wonder why anyone would even read this thing.

Pity the man whose life is boring such that he would seek the excitement of SWP.

Beh, man, I gotta get it together. There's a whole world out there, and I ain't livin' in it.
