Chapter 20: I won't run for my life
Hail Williams.
This post's title from a song by Third Eye Blind. I recently found my copy of Big Shiny Tunes 2, which I think is a fascinating record, and intend to write an article for Interneta shortly (tomorrow perhaps) commemorating.
The past couple days have been fairly blurry. There's still much that is unknown, not that I am no longer taking the hopelessness of my future for granted. Where will I live? What will I do? Who knows? But like any average person, I think I'm gonna be okay (although I'd hardly consider myself "average.")
Had a weird delrious dream last night. It involved going to this function, a party, with my brother... but it turned out to be a last-minute birthday for Steph G., whom I hadn't even seen or talked to in about a year. My brother and I had to go scramble to get a last-minute birthday gift for her. This fizzled into a new dream about having to go to a meeting in the city at the same time as a job interview, missing the interview to go to the meeting, and then finding that the meeting (the meaning of which had been top secret) had been cancelled. I'm always rushing in my dreams.
My watch ran out of batteries, which is fine since it's needed a new strap for a long time. So we went down to Times Square, the watch place, to replace them both, and wouldn't you know it... they've moved, and nobody knows where. Couldn't find them at 411.ca either. So it looks like I'm going without for now.
I'll admit, this is probably the lamest entry I've written in months. But I'm tired and they can't all be gems.
Better to quit while I'm behind
Keep on rockin'
Scott
