013: Steady as she goes

Catchy song, don't you think? The Raconteurs. I heard it not long ago. Stuck in my head.

This isn't going to be long. It's three AM for crying out loud, I just got in from a very late-night edition of Risk. I don't even have much to report, but I needed to touch base.

Emily *(that's the boarder what's taken up in the extra room, in case you were unaware,) has said she's going camping. I thought she was gone already, but she said she'd take her dog, but the dog is still here, therefore I must assume she is till here and leaving tomorrow. Or something.

Something that's got me is that there is a noticible odor now in the upstairs, particularly in the bedroom area. At first it was like fresh pancake batter or something, but since the dog has gotten more and more aggressive with its... bathroom activities... it has mixed into a combination of that perfumeish scent and dog-type odor. It's rather pungent, through no fault of any party involved. Not even the dog.

Mom's gone to Palmerston to visit my cousin, Elizabeth, who's had her second child last month. They wanted her to stay for a week, but she gave them two days.

And me, I'm... sitting here, sentimental, nostalgic, frustrated, a little angry. Tired, for sure. Not one of my better posts, but a somewhat necessary one.

Bed now. Was going to sleep downstairs, but... I need my own bed. Which is a shame because my own bed can sometimes be a hostile one.

Good night, keep on rockin'
-The Scott.
