Ch18: Yes, always (in July.)
Linked above (where normally is found a link to Interneta,) is an audioclip of Actor/Director Orson Welles during a voiceover recording for various commericals, particularly frozen peas, fish sticks and beef burgers. I recommend giving it a listen. It isn't laugh-out-loud stuff, I don't think, but I got a kick out of it. Here we the director and star of what is generally considered by most authoritative bodies to be the greatest film ever made (Citizen Kane,) blacklisted and being forced to subsist on corny adverts for dinner products... and they can't even get the lines "conversationally correct" for him.
I saw Josh Kershaw for the first time since Commencement tonight. He drove Kyle over to drop off a supply of DVD's for Saturday. He's looking well, and while he and I may never be the best of friends ever again, it's good to know we didn't have any real falling out. We did, after all, hang out in Mr. Dames' Law Class in Grade 12 after the big "fight" we had, with no incident. We made smalltalk for a bit before they got going.
Still trying to figure out what life is all about. I can't really relax until I know what I'm doing. Getting a job might help that, but nearly a week later, no calls. Sigh... back to the drawing board, perhaps? Give it time. I don't remember how long these things take. It was a while after applying at A&W that they called me (remember that? I have trouble remembering why I didn't end up working there.) and of course as for Classic Bowl... they called me one Sunday night and within a week I was employed. So my expertise on employer ettiquite is spotty.
Had the birthday dinner at dad's today. Only a couple of days left... and today I was seriously considering spending that evening grocery shopping. Go me. Of course, nothing wrong with that: I'll be plenty busy Saturday.
Time's flying by, and this happens when you live life week to week without any significant deviation from status quo. Go idle or go home.
Keep on rockin'
